Mr. Presley

Tuesday poem twat thingy!!

I was just 16 when he passed.
I was still living in the
grand old US of A.I'll
never forget the radio
report.. the King is..
my eyes filled to the
brim with wet stuff.
I blinked and cried
for a whole week..
Mr.Presley..
The King.. is dead.
Love me tender..
love me sweet..
all my dreams
come true..
Oh my darlin
I love you..
and I always
will. Love me
tender, love
me true.. all
my dreams
forfill, Oh
my darlin I
love you..
and I always
will. He is
'The King'
long live
Mr. Presley.
I miss him.

I didn't have any of his records, but always enjoyed when he was on the radio. It felt like a personal lose when he died.

Oh it was a sad day indeed when Elvis died. I would have loved to have seen him in person but it was not to be. I did see all his films though.

H sweetie. Elvis, oh yeah he still rocks baby.

I like the song 'Saved' too.

'I used to lie...I used to cheat.
I used to lie...cheat...stepping all over peoples feet.

I used to lie and cheat...cheat and lie and boogie all night long.'

'Since my baby left me...
I found a new place to dwell...
Down at the end of Lonely Street...
at Heart Break Hotel...'

xl ~ I was a young innocent (yeah right!)16 year old in love with Texas, thousands of miles away from home. I loved all kind of music but he had a certain voice about him, his voice was deep velvet.. verbal love.. he just had it all- the complete package. I miss him too.. Iknow what you're on about

Red Shoes ~ You made me smile just then. I'm not sure I have a favourite of Elvis, I just wish he hadn't done the bad things like bad food n drugs but I guess when ya have fame, maybe ya just have to hide the real you with drugs Like MJ! I have a feeling EP did like red shoes but the day he wrote that song blue shoes, he was meant to say red not blue.. I like red shoes.. I have a pair too. ;)
