Hope

Today I had an appointment through to go to the Breast clinic for an emergency mammogram. All I can say is they don't hang about. My day is Thursday 3rd Dec 9.20am. I'm not looking forward to having my swollen breast squashed in to a machine that resembles a meat slicer! But it'll put my mind at rest when they tell me it's nothing to worry about. I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about, but I have done my share of worrying.. we do don't we? As human beings.. we worry, for no apparent reason. I've had other things to focus on just lately like my three days away in south Wales, starting tomorrow afternoon, hope the weather is kind to me as I'm going on my Yamaha FJR 1300. Also my trip to the NEC at Birmingham to the International Motorbike Show on Monday. So with these events in place, I have been fairly OK. I just hope the nurse who attends my examination on Thursday has warm hands Lol. So there it is... in black n white. I guess I'm over reacting, but I can't help it. I'm still in some pain, but that's the infection. Horse pills will start working soon I hope, no alcohol for me until the course is finished on Monday, then I will have a couple of LARGE glasses of red wine... but I won't be celebrating any thing until I get my results... once again I like to thank Secretia for being there for me...she's a gem.

Will be thinking of you on Thursday.

That is a quick appointment but I don't envy you the discomfort of the mammogram. You would think they would do an ultrasound first as it is so much less painful.

Good luck anyway

Hope the swollen and tender breast didn't make riding too difficult.

I just had a load of bloodtests taken today and my God was the nurse horrid with the needle.

I have never had a mammogram but I should book one. I want the lowdown on how flat they make your breasts, how cold, how painful they are.

Hope is that thing which people cling to when people say there is nothing left .

The key in anything is believing.

I shall keep you in my prayers hon.

I hope all is well, scary I know. I hate breast cancer, not that you have it, I just hate it, ironic in the way that it happens to women (men too) but mostly women as it is the nourishment that kept most of us alive as babies.

Just keep seeing it and hearing it the way you want it to happen, my dear. Imagine those results coming back and relaxing and whooping with relief. It's your body, it will listen to you, and I'm definitely with everybody else on wanting you to be well and relieved of all of this!

UBS~ I shall hold my nerve on Thursday... with the knowledge that this is for a reason, pain aside if in any doubt this could actually save my life should anything go ....... wait for it.....TITS up! Lol :-))))))

Bama Trav ~ yeah I'd never thought of it that way... I hate any kind of cancer, my Grandfather died of it, my Grandad too, my Aunt and another Uncle... I could be next!!

Shelly Rayedeane ~ Oh for sure... I gotta believe in there's nothing wrong and shall celebrate on Friday night with another well deserved glass of red wine... or three.. thanks hun

UBS ~ Life is what we make it, some times it can go tits up but with my tits it's better than them going down, although I think that happens with age Lol!!

Hey Spiky ~ how are you? I've been away this weekend out on my motor bike, over 400 miles in mostly heavy rain, so that kinda took my mind off the next obstacle. I have to admitt I have thought about Thursday. The antibiotics have been eaten, I'm suffering with thrush.. what joy! I'm still smiling, more so since I got my life back, I've always joked about shaving my head, hope this become a reality. My left breast still hurts, I keep knocking it and swearing out loud!! Thanks hun, I will keep my spirits up, just had a glass of red wine, that kinda spirit? Neah thought not ;) (((mWOAH))) back to you too sugar XX
