To Bare all

Here it is at last, the painting I was given.
An elderly gentleman painted it on the night,
I asked if I could take a picture of it on my
mobile phone, and he said better than that
I could have it. I do like it a lot. It consists
of two very easy poses. If I remember rightly
I was aching from the night before, where upon
I had posed for the High school 6th form art
students. The first time I stripped off for the
students, I wondered just how they would cope
seeing a nude woman...me! They took it in their stride as I would expect any up and coming artist to do, after all they aren't looking at any thing that is rude, this is art, I'm guessing they're studying the form, distances, measuring height, lighting
shading. I just find a spot to focus on, put myself into the chosen position and wait for the teacher to say go. I never check the clock, I don't wear a watch. Some times the minutes rush by but other times is tends to drag. Depending what pose I'm doing as to how comfortable I am... this all adds to the session. But of course the longer the pose the more 'uncomfortable I can become, this adds to the cramps. I some times try to grin and bare it. The tortured expression on my face usually gives the show away. Some one will notice that I'm in pain.. a voice will call out 'OK take a break' these words are priceless..!! We get treated to biscuits and fresh;y made tea. I get robed up and walk around looking at the attempts some of the people have made to try and capture my features, some have it... others Lol.
Time up and it's back to the pose. Usually I can remember where my feet were, what arm was where etc; etc; If the pose is a difficult one then some one will come round with a piece of charcoal and just put a few lines to show the feet position. Classical music usual plays in the back ground, but I much prefer some thing with a pulse..

Those are excellent sketches. He's done well.

When I was in art college, we never had young sexy models. The ones we had always looked like homeless ladies!

UBS ~I like to live dangerously, I like to thrill, hopefully I don't scare!! Yeah I like the way he's captured my figure :)

phallatio ~ You can be any shape or size, but unless you are comfortable with your body , it wouldn't be easy... but have a go anyway

Secretia ~ Yes I do but some of the artists aren't very good at getting my breasts and belly into proportion, on some of them I can look pregnant lol... to see from the other side of the canvas!

Wow I don't think I would ever have the guts to do that! You are clearly very brave. Do you ever see the end result and think that's not me?

FS's eldest son was interested in art. He got a scholarship to a christian college. The only nudes he got to draw were circles and cones carefully posed in non-sexually suggestive arrangements. :-)

The right pose looks very uncomfortable to me! Great sketches!

Kate ~ yeah that some times happens, but I guess most artists have their own perseption of what they see and how they draw it. Thankyou for dropping in x

Jstar ~Strange thing is I used to be shy as a child, and picked on for being different ( skinny with big teeth) but as I've grown I've come out of my shell, nothing fazes me these days.

Don't I know you ~ He has missed out then I guess on the true art form of the human body, but I suppose we all have to start some where :)

viemoira ~ actually the first pose was the most uncomfortable as it was for half an hour, I got back ache very quickly and if I remember rightly neck ache too :)

indigo: I want to paint you. Water colors or oils or just pencil. I have a different style than this man has. I want to be able to show your face and in the painting.

I would paint you differently...more sexual. I have the perfect pose for you.

I posed for my girl friend at the time once...in the nude. She was awesome. I don't know where the painting is...probably in some hotel n Europe.

My art teachers were the best around. I should have stayed in it but life throws prioritis before play. My brother sells his drawing and paintings. It's what he loves to do.
when I go there...will you pose for me? I promise you will like it, We'll do it in water colors or pencil...both. yes? :)
xx
later sweetie

The Art Department was up for reaccreditation here a few years ago... and when the panel came in to evaluate the program, one of the people asked about the Figure Drawing Class and nude models. We had a rather backward attitude here on this campus concerning such things... and the Chair of the Art Dept had to tell this person that they weren't allowed to have nude models... to which this person asked... "Then how does one here learn to draw the human figure??"

By posing for those classes, you are providing those students with an exposure (no pun intended) that they might not otherwise experience.

Spiky ~ Yes babe you can paint me in whatever yo desire, you can cover me in sevearl gallons of emulsion if that's what you like. No seriously you can paint, draw, crayonn acrylics any thing and I can't wait to see the pose :).. Oh god I'm so excited now.. and where will you hand the finished piture? xxx

bananas ~ I'd love to have been around in the time of the great artists where they'd paint room size paintings including the horses, my favourite painting is the 'Birth of Venus.' As for the banana info... you're welcome

Red shoes ~ how can the art dept call itself the 'art dept' when a large proportion of art IS nude models, the human form? These people must have been utterlly crazy?!
