The cat looks down into the lake and sees a beautiful languid fish, like any cat it's first inclination is to toy with the alluring stranger then .......pounce. The fish will either elude the grasp or deliberately allow itself to be caught depending on which of it's ever changing moods it happens to be in. The cat is drawn to the mystical dreamer who represents a vast underworld of fantasy.
The fish has a quieter spirit than the cat but will give it's loyal devotion because emotionally they meet each others needs. The fish is sensitive and innovative and is capable of reading the cats innermost desires and offers the tenderness the cat craves. The fish will also awaken the cats spiritual potential. The cat, in return will supply the fish with energy and inspiration, and a boundless love creating a safe haven in which the fish can dwell....... so the fish allows itself to be caught.

Very intriguing analogy, Indigo. As always with your writing, it's also beautiful.
Where do you fish? :O
nitebyrd ~ :-) thank you..
UBERMOUTH ~ I have been busy of late, also suffering with an ailment, but with my fourth visit to the docs, and a ship load of pain killers, hopefully I'll be comfortable until I get the surgery! Nothing too serious but at the moment, in this heat, it's a bloody pain!! BUT ... am BACK!! did ya miss me? Lol
I missed you so much I deliberately sprained my ankle so I could share your pain. Much like I deliberately fell through flooring to injure my own leg , to commune with you, when you hurt yours on your bike.
If that is not devotion, I do not know what is!
I am NOT having surgery though. Sorry, that you'll have to wlak alone through.
Mmm.. now that's an interesting tale (tail?)
Sounds ideal for both cat and fish. They both get an awful lot out of this arrangement.....
UBBERMOUTH ~ 'OMG' that's total devotion babe! Am totally awed by your commitment to me....'mwaoh.' I got enough painkillers to go around... you want some or maybe I could kiss your poorlies better?
Jackie ~ they used to get a hell of a lot out of this arrangement! Arhh those were the days...!
Well, what painkillers do you have? :)
UBERMOUTH ~ I was on 8 cocodamol a day, but I only got as far as 4 and I was walkin around like a 'zombie'... I wasn't scary but just of the planet! I have since stopped taking them, am on 8 paracetamol a day and 3 Nurophen, am still feeling tired tho, thank god it's Friday!!
Indigo: I guess the fish just don't give a hoot about me. Because I'm always thinking about the one that got away...and that is all of them. I guess i'm not a very fast kitty, huh?
Oh and hey, you're back. I'm glad. I hope you are better.
xxx
later honey
spiky ~ You obviously haven't taken my bait yet, I wouldn't let you slip through my fingers, or in the case of the fish... fins! I'm feeling better thank you, but as I told UBERMOUTH, I'm awating surgery on my leg, so as for painkillers and anti-inflamitories that I proeceed to throw down my throat 3 times a day, things are startin to work again. Thanks hun, take care, the sun is out and I'm goin out on Black Thunder for some therapy..........x.
